Information Processing Division

1. Principal functions of Information Processing Unit are:
a) Receiving information from national treasury related to taxes and charges paid to the budget by taxpayers/other responsible persons and entering the above mentioned data into electronic database;
b) Charging taxes prescribed by tax legislation to taxpayer personal registration cards and recording according to tax types;
c) Entering data of tax declarations, other reporting forms and statutory tax invoices received from Taxpayer Service Division’s Service Centers into electronic database; (30.12.2011 N12348)
d) Receiving information from Revenue Service and its structural units related to measures and tax liabilities to be imposed on taxpayers, entering this information into electronic database;
e) Elaboration of properly executed conclusion on amount charging/deduction and entering into database;
f) Elaboration of “Tax Payment Request” according to a method and in a form prescribed by legislation;
g) Monitoring electronic database of tax invoices;
h) Assigning “cancelled” status to tax invoices (including special tax invoices) submitted for cancellation by Taxpayer Service Administration Service Centers and submission of the cancelled tax invoices for examination and recycling;
i) Elaboration of properly executed conclusion according to non-submitted/submitted tax invoices related to violations detected as a result of tax invoices processing and performing estimated charging;
j) Packaging declarations, other reporting forms and tax invoices prescribed by law;
k) Receiving information related to property tax for land owned, legally used or actually possessed by a taxpayer and entering the data into electronic database;
l) Within the competence elaboration of tax legislation violation reports at detection of tax legislation violation;
m) Within the competence processing the applications/requests received through Revenue Service website (
www.rs.ge) and elaboration of appropriate answers according to a prescribed method;
n) Within the jurisdiction elaboration of draft proposals on legislation improvement and appropriate normative acts;
o) Within the competence reviewing correspondence received from a taxpayer, his/her representative and other interested party;
p) Fulfilling other tasks and assignments by Department management.

2. Principal functions of Taxpayer Request Response Unit:
a) Aiming at returning excessively paid tax amount to a taxpayer or correcting an error made while making a budgetary payment preparation of appropriate documentation and submission to treasury service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia;
b) Aiming at reflecting amounts wrongly paid by a taxpayer on taxpayer personal registration card preparation of appropriate documentation and submission to Information Technology Center of Revenue Service;
c) According to method and within a period prescribed by legislation transferring excesses available on taxpayer various tax cards to another tax account or their return to a taxpayer;
d) Entering data into electronic database, on schedule of amount payments for goods, partially exempt from import tax occurred in temporary import goods operation;
e) Elaboration of properly executed conclusion on amount charging/deduction and entering into database;
f) Elaboration of “Tax Payment Request” according to a method and in a form prescribed by legislation;
g) Considering “Taxpayer Request” according to a method prescribed by legislation and appropriate response;
h) Within the competence processing the applications/requests received through Revenue Service website (
www.rs.ge) and elaboration of appropriate answers according to a prescribed method;
i) Within the competence elaboration of draft proposals on legislation improvement and appropriate normative acts;
j) Within the competence reviewing correspondence received from a taxpayer, his/her representative and other interested party;
k) Fulfilling other tasks and assignments by Department management.

3. Principal functions of Statistics Unit are:
a) Organizing processing budgetary income as per tax types and territorial entities;
b) Receiving and processing electronic and other information related to income administrated by Service;
c) Development, improvement and economic analysis of statistics form generation methodology of tax income reporting;
d) Processing, classification and formation of electronic tax databases at consumer level,;
e) Keeping foreign trade statistics, tax and other appropriate statistics;
f) Receiving reports referring to performed work results by Service structural units, classification, evaluation and analysis within the competence, elaboration of summary reports on Service work;
g) Within the competence processing the applications/requests received through Revenue Service website (
www.rs.ge) and elaboration of appropriate answers according to a prescribed method;
h) Within the competence elaboration of draft proposals on legislation improvement and appropriate standard acts;
i) Within the competence reviewing correspondence received from a taxpayer, his/her representative and other interested party;
j) Fulfilling other tasks and assignments by Department management.
