On 1-9 October, within the frames of the systemic testing of COVID-19 risk groups, taking into consideration the rules and periodicity established by the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, employees of the Tax Monitoring Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, customs officers and administrative / support staff at relevant facilities (“Tbilisi” clearance economic zone and following customs checkpoints: “Kazbegi”, “Sadakhlo-Railway”, “Gardabani”, “Sarpi”, “Kartsakhi”, “Kutaisi Airport”, “Batumi Airport”), in total, 430 people were examined.
Coronavirus was confirmed to 9 employees of the Revenue Service being in self-isolation. Their health condition is satisfactory for now. Furthermore, please be informed that throughout the country, from 1 to 9 October, targeted testing for antigen and antibody was conducted to 6 521 international freight vehicle drivers (both the citizens of Georgia as well as the foreign citizens) by the physician-epidemiologists of the Customs Department.
In coordination with the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, the coronavirus testing process of individuals in risk groups and drivers of international freight vehicles at the facilities of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance is still ongoing.
